Hello! My name is Abby Tolle
Here at Capstone, I teach Geometry and Algebra 2! I was born and raised in Grand Junction, Colorado, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Pure Mathematics and Secondary Education from Colorado Mesa University. This is my first year at Capstone. I’ve had a love for math for as long as I can remember, it’s always been a subject that challenges me to think deeply and creatively.
As an educator, I’m inspired by Paulo Freire’s words, “Teaching is not just transferring knowledge but creating possibilities for the production or construction of knowledge.” To me, teaching is about sparking curiosity, encouraging students to think logically, and helping students discover their own passions along the way. This is one of the primary reasons I love being at Capstone, because students here can pursue their interests while still being immersed in learning.
When I’m not teaching, I enjoy reading and lifting weights, studying more math, and baking new recipes!
