Hello! My name is Mary Alice Grant

I grew up in the mountains of North Georgia in a Georgia Bulldog family, so it was the obvious choice for me to go to the University of Georgia. I received a Bachelors of Arts degree in Art History with a minor in French Studies. I continued at UGA for my Masters degree in Foreign language Education in French. On my graduation trip, I met my first husband and moved to Mexico City where I lived for 7 years, obviously learning Spanish!
After we moved back to the United States, I began teaching at Mt. Pisgah Christian School in 1992, and in 1994 I was hired by Roswell High School where I taught levels 1-5 of Spanish until 2019. Not being quite ready to retire full time, I heard about Capstone Academy from a friend and applied for a Spanish position. This is my 7th year at Capstone, and it is my dream job with small classes, motivated students, and a wonderful, professional atmosphere where I feel appreciated.
Outside of school, I enjoy getting together with my grown children and their families and participating in many church activities. You can also find me doing yard work, playing with our dogs, reading, decorating, and watching the Bulldogs play. I have the perfect amount of work and play, just like our students!
