Hello! My name is Matt Barry

I was born in Massachusetts and moved to Atlanta in elementary school, where I attended elementary, middle, and high school in Georgia. I went to the University of New Hampshire, where I competed in track and field. I studied history, political science, and education, earning a B.A. in history. I taught for twenty years at The Davis Academy, where I wrote the 7th- and 8th-grade social studies curriculum and chaperoned trips to Washington, D.C., New York, and Israel. I then worked at Brightmont Academy, where I taught high school ELA and social studies. Outside of school, I enjoy hiking, road biking, camping, and coaching the pole vault.
